Protest against granting the Saint George medal to Marek Edelman

We hereby submit a protest against the awarding of the Saint George medal by the "Tygodnik Powszechny" to Marek Edelman for "fighting evil and persistent building of social good", which is to take place on 13 XI 1999.

We protest because of the fact that Marek Edelman publicly called for an armed aggression against Yugoslavia. Given his authority in opinion-forming circles of the globalist elite, this support was significant. It contributed, among other things, to Minister J. Fischer's decision for Germany to join the bombings.

Marek Edelman's claims about the "Holocaust" of Albanian population in Kosovo proved unfounded, as no compelling evidence of "mass Serbian crimes" was found. However, they served as justification for President Clinton to launch aggression. As a result, NATO led to the removal of non-Albanian population from Kosovo, mass suffering of civilian Serb, Roma, and Albanian populations, enormous economic losses, and significant damage to the environment and cultural heritage.

The authority of Marek Edelman stems from his participation in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. However, no heroism or co-creation of historical events grants a monopoly on truth. We regret that the shadow of the historical tragedy associated with the figure of the last commander of the ghetto uprising has become a screen concealing the dark interests of the political and economic elites of Western Europe and the USA.
