Request for correction

In connection with false information about our association that appeared in the main edition of "Wiadomości" TVP on December 5, 2017, we sent a letter to the editorial team with the following content:

Dear Editorial Team!

On November 11, 2017, during the main edition of the News program dedicated to the Independence March, our organization was described using the adjective "pro-Russian," referencing the fact that former "Samoobrona" MP Mateusz Piskorski was a member of our association until 2003.
Considering that we have repeatedly declared Russian imperialism as a threat to Poland's independence and cooperate with Ukrainian independence circles, supporting Ukraine's position regarding Russia's hidden aggression, such a formulation is simply untrue. We also maintain contact with Russian circles, but those that reject imperialism as a concept of Russian existence in the world. An example of this is the "Future of Europe" conference on April 30, 2017, where representatives of these circles were present.
Regarding M. Piskorski, we remind that he left our association in 2003.
Here is a link to our statement regarding Mateusz Piskorski:

Taking the above into account, we demand the publication of a correction based on Article 31a of the Press Law of January 26, 1984, of the following content:
In the program broadcast by Wiadomości on December 5, 2017, we incorrectly labeled Association for the Tradition and Culture "Niklot" association as pro-Russian, and also incorrectly suggested that former MP Mateusz Piskorski was still associated with this organization. These statements are entirely false, and their dissemination constitutes a misleading of public opinion.

Sincerely
Chairman of the General Board of the „Niklot” Association
Dr. Tomasz Szczepański
